STARS ADD TOUGHIE

The Battlefords North Stars have acquired the CJAHL playing rights to 1985 born forward Robin Richards from the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL for future considerations.

Richards, a 6’4” 215 lbs native of Winnipeg MB , has played for three semi-pro teams this season after exhausting a two year stint in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Richards was most recently listed as being on the roster for the Sherbrooke St. Francois of the LNAH.  He has not seen any game action.  However, he did dress for 19-games with the UHL’s Motor City Mechanics and Flint Generals and scored 1-goal and 1-assist.  He also had 30-penalty minutes.

Richards, who played in the QMJHL with Victoriaville , Cape Breton , and Rouyn-Noranda, suited up for 115-career games at the major junior level and compiled 13-points as well as 384-penalty minutes.
