Player of the Week
The SJHL Player of the Week for the period ending November 13th is Battlefords North Star 20-year-old Michael George.
George collected 4-goals and 2-assists in 3-games last week as the Stars stretched their regulation time unbeaten to string to six. George had two goals and two assists in a win over Kindersley last Tuesday. He then had single goals on Friday in a win over Melfort and then again on Saturday in an overtime defeat at the hands of the Nipawin Hawks.
For the season, George leads the SJHL scoring race with 35-points in 25-games. He edged Melville's Riley Wickenheiser, Star teammate Shayne Cusack, and Yorkton's Justin Menke for the award.
