Wings and Stars Make Four Player Trade

WINGS AND STARS MAKE FOUR PLAYER TRADE
The Weyburn Red Wings continued their busy week of player movement on Thursday by acquiring 1987 born forward Kyle Ermel and 1985 born defenseman Jordan Weibel from the Battlefords North Stars for 1985 born defenseman Greg Park and 1986 born defenseman James Pasternak.
Ermel was a highly sought player after getting reassigned earlier this season by the Regina Pats. He didn’t play a regular season game for them this season, but did score one goal and two assists in thirteen games last year after racking up 10-goals and 20-assists in 17-games with the Regina Pat Canadians.
Park was let go by the Moose Jaw Warriors just prior to the start of the regular season and balked at returning to Weyburn. The Lumsden native had 1-goal and 11-assists in 30-games with the Warriors last year. In 2003-04, Park scored 9-goals and 42-assists in 56-games with the Red Wings.
Weibel should also help the Red Wing powerplay. He had 5-goals and 3-assists in 16-games. The 6’0” 225 Ibs blueliner isn’t afraid to mix it up and should easily fit in with the style of play employed by Dwight McMillan.
Pasternak, a native of Allan SK, brings good size at 6’4” and 200 Ibs to the Stars. He was pointless with 32-penalty minutes in fifteen games this season for Weyburn. Back
