STARS FILL COACHING VACANCY
Wednesday, August 02, 2006

The Battlefords North Stars are pleased to announcing the appointment of Gary Clark as their new Head Coach/General Manager, effective immediately.

Clark, a 46 year-old native of Moose Jaw, has coached in the pro ranks in Germany since 1996-97 with Rosenheim, Frankfurt, and Krefeld.

His most recent stop was with EHC Wolfsburg as an Assistant Coach.

Clark played in the SJHL with Prince Albert in 1979 when the Raiders emerged as Centennial Cup champions (now known as the RBC Royal Bank Cup).

Clark also played under former NHL Head Coach Andy Murray with the Brandon University Bobcats in the early 1980’s before moving on to Europe for a professional career.

The Stars also confirmed newly appointed Assistant Coach Blair Atcheynum will also remain with the team and aid Clark behind the bench.
